A double-pump hydraulic power pack is a type of hydraulic power unit (HPU) that utilizes two hydraulic pumps to generate hydraulic power for a wide range of applications. These power packs are designed to provide greater flexibility and control in hydraulic systems by offering the ability to operate two separate hydraulic circuits simultaneously or independently. A double-pump hydraulic power pack includes two hydraulic pumps. These pumps can be of the same type (e.g., two gear pumps or two piston pumps) or different types, depending on the specific needs of the application. The dual pumps allow for the simultaneous operation of two hydraulic circuits. Like single-pump power packs, double-pump power packs have a reservoir or tank to store hydraulic fluid (typically hydraulic oil). The reservoir serves as a storage and cooling space for the hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic power packs use hydraulic oil as the working fluid. The choice of hydraulic oil is based on factors like viscosity, temperature range, and other properties to ensure proper lubrication and performance. Double-pump hydraulic power packs are typically driven by electric motors or internal combustion engines (e.g., gasoline or diesel).
These motors or engines provide the necessary mechanical energy to drive both hydraulic pumps. Various valves, including control valves, relief valves, and directional control valves, are used to control the flow, pressure, and direction of hydraulic fluid within the system. Valves are essential for regulating and directing the hydraulic power output in both circuits. Double-pump power packs are equipped with a filtration system to remove contaminants from the hydraulic fluid, ensuring that it remains clean and free from debris that could damage hydraulic components. Pressure gauges and sensors are employed to monitor hydraulic pressure within the system. They provide vital feedback for operators or control systems to maintain safe operating conditions in both hydraulic circuits. These power packs are often mounted on a sturdy frame or enclosed in a housing. The frame or enclosure may include features like vibration isolation mounts and noise-reducing measures. Double-pump hydraulic power packs are highly versatile and find applications in scenarios where two hydraulic functions need to be operated independently or where precise control over multiple hydraulic circuits is required. Examples of applications include hydraulic presses with separate pressing and clamping functions, mobile hydraulic equipment with multiple actuators, and industrial machinery that demands simultaneous control of various hydraulic systems.
